What We Built Together
After more than a decade building Agio into one of the most trusted names in managed IT and cybersecurity for the financial services industry, I am proud to announce that we have completed our transition to Netrio.
Looking back on Agio's journey, I am filled with an immense sense of pride—not in any single achievement, but in the totality of what we created together. We built more than a company. We built an operating system for excellence.
That operating system was founded on three pillars that I believe are inseparable: people, culture, and technology.
The people at Agio were never just employees—they were problem-solvers, trusted advisors, and dedicated professionals who showed up every day to protect our clients. Many of them have been with us for years, growing alongside the company and bringing an institutional knowledge that cannot be replicated. Watching them develop into leaders has been one of the greatest rewards of this journey.
Our culture was intentionally built around accountability, transparency, and genuine care—both for each other and for the clients we served. In an industry that can easily become transactional, we chose to be relational. That distinction matters. It showed up in every service call, every crisis response, and every long-term partnership we forged.
And our technology platform—the systems, processes, and security frameworks we developed—was always in service of a simple goal: making the complex manageable for our clients. We invested heavily in building tools that didn't just meet compliance checkboxes but actually reduced risk and created operational resilience.
But perhaps what I'm most proud of is something that cannot be purchased or manufactured: the trust of our clients. In an industry where a breach can end careers, destroy reputations, and unravel firms, our clients entrusted us with their most sensitive operations. We never took that trust for granted. It was the foundation upon which every decision was made, and it remains the legacy I am most honored to leave behind.
Why Netrio—And Why Now
When evaluating potential paths forward for Agio, the decision to join forces with Netrio was not simply about finding a buyer. It was about finding a partner who truly understood what we had built and was committed to building upon it—not dismantling it.
Netrio shares our conviction that managed IT and cybersecurity must be delivered with both technical excellence and genuine partnership. They recognize that the relationships we have cultivated with our clients are not just contracts to be inherited—they are commitments to be honored.
What excited me most about Netrio was their long-term vision. They see Agio not as an acquisition to be absorbed, but as a foundation to be accelerated. The capabilities we developed, the client relationships we nurtured, and the culture we built—these are assets they intend to invest in and grow.
For our clients, this means continuity without compromise. The team members you know and trust are staying. The service levels you expect will be maintained and enhanced. And the roadmap for new capabilities will be expanded, not contracted.
For our team, this represents opportunity. Netrio brings resources, scale, and ambition that will create new paths for professional development and career growth. The best people want to work on hard problems with great colleagues—and this partnership creates more of those opportunities.
My Personal Commitment to This Transition
Change is never easy, and transitions of this magnitude require careful attention. I want to be direct about my role going forward.
While I will not be in an active day-to-day management position, I remain deeply committed to ensuring this transition succeeds. The coming months are critical—not just for systems integration, but for preserving the intangibles that made Agio special.
I will be working closely with the Netrio leadership team to:
Ensure client relationships are seamlessly maintained and strengthened
Support our team members through the transition and help preserve our culture
Advise on strategic decisions that affect the combined organization's direction
Be available as a resource for clients and colleagues who have questions or concerns
This is not a departure. It is a passing of the torch. And I intend to make absolutely certain that torch is passed well, with the flame burning as bright as ever.
I owe that to our clients. I owe that to our team. And frankly, I owe that to myself—because after investing more than a decade of my life into building something meaningful, I want to see it thrive for decades more.
What's Next for Me
So what comes next?
The honest answer is: I'm taking time to be thoughtful about it.
After nearly fifteen years of building and leading in the cybersecurity and managed IT space, I have a perspective on the industry that I'm eager to apply in new ways. The landscape has shifted dramatically—AI is transforming how businesses operate, cyber threats have become existential risks for organizations of all sizes, and the intersection of technology and strategy has never been more important.
I see opportunities at that intersection. Whether through advising companies navigating these challenges, investing in the next generation of solutions, writing and speaking about the lessons I've learned, or building something entirely new—the possibilities are energizing.
But I've also learned that the best decisions come from reflection, not reaction. So I'm giving myself the space to think carefully about where I can have the greatest impact.
Stay tuned. There's more to come.
A Final Word of Gratitude
Building Agio has been the professional privilege of my life. To our clients—thank you for your trust. To our team—thank you for your dedication, your creativity, and your friendship. To our partners—thank you for believing in what we were building.
And to everyone who will be part of Agio's next chapter under Netrio: I am confident that the best is yet to come.
